I have a few questions
- Erection of Gapyeong War Memorial Stone
The Gapyeong city council is preparing this stone. we should send them written approval from Strathfield council. Can you give us a letter for them?
I have opinion on following subjects.
- Tender procedure.
We have talked this one for last 5 years. It takes very long time. It seems like never-ending story.
Seoul city has made about 7 Seoul Gardens around World. Many cities want to have Seoul Garden.
They gave Seoul city the site for it after establishing MOU. No cities in the World asked them to go through tender procedure. Seoul city will complete this project in 2 year time. They will not wait for another 2 years for tender procedure
in Strathfield. They will go to other city.
- Chinese gardens in Darling Harbour
The Chinese Garden of Friendship was built as a beautiful symbol of friendship between Sydney in the State of New South Wales and Guangzhou in the province of Guangdong, China (sister cities of sister states), to mark Australia’s bicentenary in 1988.
I do not think that they took Tender procedure. Shore authority looks after this garden.
- Chnaglai Chinese garden in Doonside
This garden was built to promote and celebrate the relationship between Blacktown City and its sister-city, Liaocheng Municipal, Shandong Province, People’s Republic of China, the 2800 square-metre garden is architecturally inspired by the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty in China.
I do not think that they took tender procedure for it. Blacktown council looks after this garden.
- JAPANESE GARDEN – SYDNEY – AUBURN CITY COUNCIL

The Japanese Garden has traditional landscaping and: Beautiful flowering Azaleas. Decorative bridges. A large lake with central island and stocked with colourful Koi. Ornamental trees. Ryoan-ji style garden. Sea shoreline. Symbolic mountains. A traditional Tea House.
This garden was built in similar way like Chinese Gardens. Auburn council looks after this garden.
Our opinion on our garden and Cultural centre
- Australian Korean Memorial Garden
Strathfield Council will look after this garden.
- Korea Cultural Centre and Amphi theatre
Korean Community will look after these facilities.
This is our opinion on this project. We would like to see our project proceed fast.
